Hi guys I miss you so! I've been soooo busy!

I'm prepping for a three day weekend of epic proportions!!
This weekend I'll be Taking part of the Dance Africa Bazaar at Brooklyn Academy of Music!!!! My little company Biddies and Blokes Secondhand Garb is honored yes, as mama is whelmed.
Which basically means my week is full of vintage goodies, I'm swimming in them, pricing them, tagging them, playing with them, steaming them and trying my darnedest not to try them all on
(which is why there are no pictures of me in my current in unkempt state)

In addition to that I'm also working on a project that is blossoming way bigger then myself or any one person really.

I'm on a mission to set up a pop up shop that doubles as a creative space that fosters creativity this summer.
It's a conceptual cooperative that will most likely run for the months of July August and September. A space for creators of all types to help one another out as well as foster the creativity of others who wouldn't initially have seen following their passion as a viable money making option.
Having studied as a photographer I know what it cost to rent a studio space in this city. Don't even get me started on what it costs to rent a space to hawk your wares for merely two days! If we can create an environment that both fosters creativity and is economically beneficial. That reduces the obstacles between you and perusing your creative dreams and increases your visibility that would be monumental for so many artist.

It started out as 30 under 30 but quickly was shot down by a group of above thirties who proposed lying about their age. It has taken on the mantel of 100 under 100. And I'm so glad! Because the inspiring stories and submissions we've gotten simply in these beginning stages have been truly moving.

So far there is an independent animators showing, a vintage fashion show, a belly dancing class, a wholistic health series and DIY boot camp in the works to name a few!
